The infrastructure of Bengaluru has changed a lot.
· Hebbal lake did exist at a larger scale during 90s,
Sahakaranagar was considered outskirts
· Cunningham Road and K G
Road weren't one-ways!
· Bannerghatta road implied only one thing for me - tiger safari.
·
Inner ring road between Indiranagar
and Koramangala was deserted except for people who were testing how fast their
cars could go. That has since changed to a road where people test their
patience.
· Every landscaped BDA park was a playground where
children would spend the seemingly endless summer holidays and evenings playing
cricket, football, etc.
· Indiranagar and Koramangala were very new layouts,
known only for mosquitoes and floods in the rainy season. Whitefield was a far
off place, known to us only as a train station on the way to Chennai.
· Storm drains next to houses, colloquially known as
‘morries', were uncovered. We would have big fights about who would fetch any
football/cricket ball that fell into it.
